One day in early June, I found an RFQ that matched our company’s products very well in the procurement demand. This RFQ is from Africa, and there are not many companies that have already quoted, which means that there are not many competitors, and there are still opportunities. So I made a quote of double ball bearing and sent an email to the client. But a week after the email was sent, the client didn't reply, so I sent another email. This time the client responded quickly, adding the WhatsApp number in my email and sending me the details of their product requirements. Seeing that the payment process is about to come, the customer does not reply.
This time, I was a little discouraged. I couldn't figure out where the problem was. I wanted to ask for money, but I didn't know where to bring it up, but I didn't want to give up the team's efforts for many days. So I sent another email to a customer with pictures of our bearings. Sure enough, the customer was very satisfied. In addition, many details have been finalized in the previous communication, so the customer quickly paid the deposit. What is even more surprising is that due to the pleasant cooperation of the first order, the customer placed another order shortly after and shipped together with the first order of double ball bearing.
The success of this order gave me a lot of encouragement and inspired me a lot:
First, in addition to inquiries of double ball bearing, RFQ is also very valuable and can help us actively develop customers. As long as you take it seriously, serve customers well, and show the advantages of products, there is still a good chance to make an order.
Second, don’t be discouraged when the customer doesn’t reply, try sending it again, it is inevitable that you will not receive or miss the email due to various reasons.
Third, when you encounter difficulties in dunning, you might as well start from other aspects, send some attractive renderings, show the company's qualifications and strengths, etc., which can play a role in promoting customers to pay.
