The needle drawn cup bearing is a needle roller bearing with a thin stamped and formed outer ring. Its main feature is its low cross-section height and high load bearing capacity. It is mainly used for the bearing arrangement with compact structure, low price and the inner hole of the bearing box cannot be used as the raceway of the needle roller cage assembly.
The needle drawn cup bearing and the bearing box must be installed in interference fit. If the axial positioning functions such as the box shoulder and the stop ring can be omitted, the inner hole of the bearing box can be made extremely simple and economical.
The needle drawn cup bearing mounted on the shaft end has a double-sided open type and a single-sided closed type. The base end surface of the closed drawn outer ring can bear little axial guiding force.
The needle drawn cup bearing generally does not have an inner ring. When the journal cannot be hardened and ground, the inner ring listed in the table can be used.
The hardened steel outer ring of needle drawn cup bearing is inseparable from the needle roller cage assembly. The free space for storing lubricant can extend the relubrication interval. Bearings generally adopt a single row design. But the wider specifications of bearings 1522, 1622, 2030, 2538 and 3038 series are excluded, which are equipped with two needle roller cage assemblies. The outer ring of the bearing has lubrication holes.
According to user needs, all single-row needle drawn cup bearings with shaft diameters greater than or equal to 7mm can be equipped with outer rings with lubricating holes (code suffix AS1).

Where oil seals cannot be installed due to space constraints, a needle drawn cup bearing with an open end or a closed end can be provided. This type of bearing is equipped with a friction oil seal of polyurethane or synthetic rubber, which is filled with lithium-based grease with good anti-rust performance, and is suitable for operating temperatures from -20 to +100°C.
The inner ring of the needle drawn cup bearing with oil seal is 1mm wider than the outer ring. This makes the bearing even when the crankshaft has a slight displacement relative to the bearing housing to ensure that the oil seal works well and avoids contamination of the bearing. The inner ring of needle drawn cup bearing also has lubrication holes, which can be supplemented by the outer ring or the inner ring according to the needs of the bearing configuration.
