How much do you know about the open bearing?

open bearing: This bearing does not have any seals, it is "open type". Open deep groove ball bearings are suitable for high-speed or even extremely high-speed operation, and they are very durable and do not require frequent maintenance. This type of open bearing has a small friction coefficient, high limit speed, and various size ranges and forms. It is used in industries such as precision instruments, low-noise motors, automobiles, motorcycles and general machinery. It is the most widely used type of open bearing in the machinery industry. Mainly bear radial load, but also can bear a certain amount of axial load.

Sealing: There are two kinds of seals, one is the metal dust cover seal, the other is the rubber seal ring. Of course, the two kinds of seals here are only the most conventional two, and there are other special seals. This seal is what you call a cover seal.
As mentioned above, the cover type seal is divided into two materials: metal and rubber, (that is, the material of the sealing cover). So when you talk to others, you can't say that it is a cover type bearing in general, but a bearing with a metal dust cover (ZZ) or a rubber seal (2RS).
